Karen Ann Carrithers

ROSEDALE-Karen Ann Carrithers, 73, of Rosedale, Indiana passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, in her daughter's residence. She retired from Novelis and was a teaching assistant. She also helped with the family farm. She was born September 29, 1951, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Arthur C. Yeargin and Ila Esther Lane Yeargin. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Carrithers on August 31, 2023. Survivors include two daughters, K. Michelle (Michael) Gallagher of Rosedale and Sherri Elizabeth (Larry Jenkins, Jr.) Sauer-Jenkins of Rosedale; one brother, Arthur L. (Debbie) Yeargin of Rosedale; one sister, Linda (Jerry) Carrithers of Rosedale; six grandchildren, Rowan, Hunter, Rylann, Seth, Regann and Braylyn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Yeargin. She was a 1969 graduate of Rosedale High School. She was a member of Rosedale United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 27, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main Street, Rosedale, with Pastor Keith B. McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
