Martha Drescher Obituary

Martha Ann (Farley) Drescher, age 90, of Spencer, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born on July 29, 1934 in Owen County, Indiana to Joseph "Joe" and Wanda (Abram) Farley. Martha Ann married James Drescher on August 19, 1950. Martha Ann retired as a cook for the Owen County Sheriffs Department. She enjoyed quilting and collecting cookbooks. Martha Ann is survived by her son Fred Drescher of Spencer; sister-in-laws, Sue Drescher, Judy Drescher, Lulu Farley, and Virginia Combs; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Edwin Farley, Ellsworth Farley, Everett Farley, and sister Ada Fern Hawkins. Funeral services for Martha Ann will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4:00 p.m till 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the JMF Fund c/o Owen County Community Foundation or the charity of one's choice. West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.westparrishpedigo.com.
