PATRICIA K. "PAT" (COX) WOOLVERTON, 86, of Hutsonville, IL passed away at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN. She was born March 15, 1939 in Hutsonville, IL to Chambers Lee Cox and Opal Garnet (Akeman) Cox. Pat married Arthur B. "Art" Woolverton, he passed away on March 14, 2000. Survivors include her nephews/sons; Gary & Denise Cox of West Union, IL; Michael & Teresa Cox of Jasonville, IN; Gregg & Rhonda Cox of Hutsonville, IL; great niece and nephews, Blake & Heather Cox; Brian & Amanda Cox; Tracy & Kraig Kerzan; Travis & Jennifer Cox; Joseph Cox; Jason & Lindi Bonesteel; Justin & Tatum Cox; 15 – great-great nieces and nephews; step-son in-law, Bill Colliflower. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rhonda K. Atwood-Mikeworth. brother, Thomas "Tom" Cox; husband, Arthur "Art" Woolverton; step-daughters, Donna Brannon and Cheryl Colliflower. Pat graduated from Hutsonville High School. She took Tuck & Weavers Airline Course as a senior. She worked at Farmers & Merchants Bank from 1958 to 2008, retiring after 40 years of service. She held 3 additional jobs, working as bookkeeper for Woolverton Home & Auto for many years, preparing water bills for the Village of Hutsonville and also as a Notary Public. She attended the Buick Training school in St. Louis to learn how to prepare Buick Statements and was a Shaklee Distributor for over 50 years. Pat loved to sew, making clothes for herself, daughter, mother and nephews as well as others. She enjoyed ceramics, macramé, making candy and working in her flowers pulling weeds. Pat loved cooking for her family, having family dinners and helping with the Akeman Family Reunion. She started the Cox Family Renuion in 1991. She also liked working at the Hutson Cabins and being involved in the Hutson Memorial Padgent. Aunt Pat, as she was called by so many, is greatly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends, especially, her Wabash Coffee House family. Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. CST Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Pulliam Funeral Home 601 North Pleasant Street, Hutsonville, IL 62433. Services are at 10 a.m. Monday CST, July 28, 2025 at Pulliam Funeral Home with Pastor David Smith officiating. Interment will be at Hutsonville Cemetery in Hutsonville, IL. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Pat to First Christian Church 62 South Pleasant Street, Hutsonville, IL 62433. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
