Shirley Heidrick

Shirley Lou (Roberts) Heidrick, age 90, of Spencer, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Owen Valley Health and Rehab Center in Spencer, Indiana. She was born on July 8, 1935 in Gate City, Virginia to William and Stella (Jones) Roberts. Shirley married Ronald Heidrick in Gosport, Indiana on September 7, 1956. She was co-owner of R & S Grocery with her husband for many years. Shirley enjoyed working in the store and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Millgrove Methodist Church. Shirley is survived by her children, Karen (Greg) Johnson and David (Carol) Heidrick; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Gladys Shelton, Loretta (Dale) Lauderman, and Bill (Rosetta) Roberts; and son-in-law Randy Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronnie; daughter Rhonda Evans; granddaughter, Amber Minnick; and sister, Mary Deckard. Services for Shirley will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Hudson Hill Cemetery.
