Betty Jean Hannah

Betty Jean Hannah, age 88, of Tuscaloosa, AL died November 1, 2025 at Heritage Heath and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hannah; her parents; sister, Marie Hallman; brother-in-law, Hubert Hallman and her brother, Elmer Smith.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Dyer and husband, Alan and Melissa Hubbard and husband, Scotty; four grandchildren, Walt Dyer (Jonna), Hannah Golden (Kaidd), Alex Hubbard and Brooke Hubbard and four great-grandchildren, Wrhett Dyer, Whit Dyer, Easton Golden and Walker Dyer.
Betty was born September 17, 1937 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late L. V. Smith and Beaulah Espey Smith. Betty was an extraordinary cook and kept everyone laughing with her wit and she shared both of these every chance she could. In her 80's and with dementia, Betty made the choice to follow Christ.
Honorary Pallbearers are Northport Rehab family, Crimson Village family, Heritage Health & Rehab family, Oasis Hospice, Tiffany Williams CRNP and special sitters and caregivers.
The family would like to thank friends and family who were a constant source of encouragement and support and the numerous sitters who provided love, patience and ongoing assistance to prolong a positive quality of life.
