Charles Niven Obituary

Charles Wayne Niven, passed peacefully in his sleep September 6, 2025. Mr. Niven was born October 23, 1941 to A. P. and Nannie Fulgham Niven. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kamille; his wife Linda; his precious granddaughter, Alexa; and several siblings. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Suzette Britt of Starkville, MS; bonus daughter, Kay McGarity White; granddaughters, Chazz Bishop (Colby) of Columbus, MS and Alecea Harrington (Walt) of Waco, TX; three great grandchildren, Jhett Bishop, Peyton Whitten and Brenston Bishop; and sister, Claudia Taylor of Sterrett, AL. Mr. Niven owned his own Western Auto in Reform, Alabama, where he amassed a fortune of friends. In 2002 he was welcomed with open arms in Starkville, where he managed the Western Auto there as he would have his own. He loved people and people loved him. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 20 years. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 1:00-2:30 PM at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, followed by a graveside service at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville. His nephew, Mark Connell will conduct the service. Jenny Doss will present the Eulogy. Pallbearers will be: Colby Bishop, Gary Niven, Brenston Bishop, Walt Harrington, Steve Niven, Dewayne Taylor, and Jhett Bishop.
