Frank Isom

Mr. Frank Isom, 80, transitioned on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Great Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Center. Frank Isom was born in Marshall County, MS on November 25, 1944, to the late Rev. Lester and Flora Isom. He transitioned on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Great Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Byhalia, MS. Frank confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of Kimbrough Chapel M.B. Church, in Lamar, MS, until his health failed. He attended Old Salem School in Benton County, MS. He met the love of his life and was united into holy matrimony, May 1968, to Mary Jane Raimey, and to this union eight children were born. Frank was employed with Holly Springs Brick Hill for several years and later joined Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, where he was forced to retire after over 35 years. Frank's desire was spending time with his children, GRANDCHILDREN, family and friends, watching wrestling, cooking, cutting grass and helping others in the community. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Raimey Isom; his parents, Rev. Lester and Flora Lee Wright Isom; loving mother-in-law, Emma Jane Perkins, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Perkins-Harper; brother-in-law, Tom Raimey; siblings: Lester B. Isom, Roy Lee Isom, Randy Isom, Hattie Bell, Mae Dell Howell, Rickey Isom, Jessie Isom. Franks's memories will be cherished by his four sons: John Isom of Olive Branch, MS, Darin (Jennifer) Isom of Cordova, TN, Terrance L. (Sharon) Isom, Sr. of Olive Branch, MS, Derail Isom of Holly Springs, MS; four daughters: Bonnie (AL) Nunnally of Holly Springs, MS, Melissa Isom of Olive Branch, MS, Pamela Isom of Oklahoma, OK, Shavon Isom of Horn Lake, MS; two brothers: Robert Isom, Sr. and James (Elizabeth) Isom, both of Holly Springs, MS, three sisters: Evelean Richard, Bessie Clayborn both of Holly Springs, MS, Mae Lee Mason of Memphis, TN; a special brother-in-law/son, Michael (Loria) Perkins, 31 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635. Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at Kimbrough Chapel M. B. Church, 1182 Kimbrough Chapel Rd., Lamar, MS 38642. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
