Janita Renee Holiday

Miss Janita Reneé Holiday was born June 26, 1956 in Sheffield Alabama, to Mr. James L. Holiday and the late Dorothy Ann Triplett Holiday. She transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 13, in the funeral home chapel, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Stephen Gill officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park. The Repast will take place at Town Creek Community Center.
Reneé graduated in 1974 from Cherokee Vocational High School in Cherokee, Alabama. She also graduated in 1977 from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Birmingham, Alabama. Reneé became a registered nurse, later to retire at Helen Keller Hospital after forty-one years of service. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Triplett Holiday.
Reneé leaves to cherish her memories, her father, James L. Holiday, Sr; her daughter, Raven; three grandchildren, Brylon, Rio, and Milani; siblings, James II (Cherry), Tyler, and Todd, and Angela; Aunts, Gladys Newsome, Bonnie Harrison Reiplett Garner, Mary Denton, and Gail Jones (William); special friends, Norma Croom and Dr. Taylor Byrd; and several others, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be James L. Holiday II, Todd Holiday, Joshua Beaumont, Ty Harris, Jai Triplett, Komarro Denton.
Honorary pallbearers will be the graduating class of 1974, Reneés's cousins, and Cherry Holiday.
