Karen Barnett Hickory Flat – Karen Lee Barnett, 63, passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on October 8, 2025. She was born October 6, 1962 in Holly Springs, MS to the late Alice Marie Esmon. She was a Christian and a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church in Hickory Flat. She loved her church family and raised her children in church. She was known to many as the "Avon Lady" and also, she and her husband were co-owners of B-Quick Towing. She enjoyed babysitting the grandchildren and talking on the phone to her brother, Ronnie, and her friend, Linda. She loved thrift store and clearance shopping. She is survived by her husband, Richard Barnett; two daughters, Kristina Maness (Michael) and Stephanie Harrison (Shane); one son, Brandon Brock; one step-daughter, Jessica Peppers (Cody); three step-sons, David Barnett, Ricky Barnett (Amanda) and Justin Barnett (Erica); one brother, Ronnie Bishop (Charlotte); and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church in Hickory Flat with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. A private family graveside will follow at McKay Cemetery.
