Kenny Moore Obituary

Kenny Ray Moore, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by familiar walls, cherished memories, and the quiet presence of peace. Funeral Service honoring Mr. Kenny's life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Unity Baptist Church, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of service. His beloved son, Bro. Kody Moore, will share words of comfort, and Bro. Ronnie Barefield, will read the obituary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with no formal graveside service. Born on June 6, 1959, Mr. Kenny was the son of the late Luther Autry and Francis Louise Crouch Moore. Receiving his education from Falkner High School, Mr. Kenny spent his life as a hardworking and humble man, providing for his family through many faithful years at Bench Craft Corporation and later at Oil Dri, until his well-earned retirement. On August 9, 1993, Mr. Kenny married the love of his life, Mrs. Bonnie Faye Bennett Moore, and together they built a home centered on love, faith, and family in the Falkner community. Their marriage was a true partnership-deeply bonded and unwavering. Bonnie was not only his wife, but his very best friend, and her passing just two and a half months ago left a void that nothing on this side of Heaven could fill. A devoted Christian and lifelong member of Unity Baptist Church, Mr. Kenny lived a simple life by the world's standards, but one that was rich in the things that mattered most. He found joy in the still moments-tending to his garden with pride, growing beautiful tomatoes he'd eagerly share with neighbors and friends, and in true Kenny fashion, he even brought a bit of humor to his hobbies-his favorite hunting spot was right from his house, where he'd raise a window and take his shot from the comfort of his own chair. Family was the heartbeat of Mr. Kenny's life. Whether he was on the tractor helping his brother bale hay, fishing with his sons out on the lake, or gathered around the table for one of his favorite fried fish dinners, his joy was found in being with the ones he loved. Life brought Mr. Kenny both blessings and burdens. Though we grieve his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is now truly home. Reunited at last with Bonnie and K.J., and welcomed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, he has found the peace that surpasses all understanding. No more sorrow, no more pain-only the fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord. His legacy will continue in the lives of those he loved so deeply and the quiet, strong example he set for all who knew him. Those left to carry on his legacy include one son, Bro. Kody Moore, two brothers, Roger Dale Moore (Wanda Darleen), and Mickey Moore (Kathy), multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Moore, his son, Kenny Ray Moore Jr., one brother, David Moore.
