Michael Waldo Obituary

PONTOTOC - Michael Shane Waldo, 38, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. He was a 2005 graduate of South Pontotoc High School, a 2007 graduate of ICC in Automotive Technology, and a 2009 graduate of ICC in Collision Repair. During his time at South Pontotoc and ICC, he was part of the drumline and played with the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra for a year. He worked at All Animal Hospital as kennel staff and spent nearly 10 years as a correctional officer at Topeka Correctional Facility. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMR with the Furrs Fire Department. Survivors include his mother, Susan Waldo, his twin sister, Kristen Dill (Patrick), his father, Mike Waldo, and his aunt, Tammy Plunk (Jeff). He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max and Daisy Stegall, his uncle, Jerry Stegall, and his grandfather, Harvey Waldo. A visitation is scheduled from 1-2 PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The graveside service will follow at 3 PM at Zion Cemetery, officiated by Bro.
