Nellie Harpole Blade Obituary

Nellie Rea Harpole Blade, 76, was born on September 4, 1948 in West Point, MS to the late James Henry Harpole and Laura Mae Berry Harpole. She passed away on August 1, 2025 in Eupora, MS. She was the secretary at Welch Funeral Home in Maben for 35 years. She was a faithful member of Maben Community Church, Lions Club, Son Shine Club, Literary Club, as well as serving on two cemetery boards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Earl Blade, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Blade Jackson (Steve) of Vernon, AL; son, Robert "Robbie" Earl Blade, Jr. (Katie) of Maben, MS; brother, Jackie Harpole (Susan) of Carthage, MS; grandchildren, William Jackson ( Angelica), Tyler Jackson, Brandon Blade, Laura Katherine Blade, and Wesley Blade; and two great grandchildren, Rowan Jackson and Blakely Jackson; and two special nieces, Jennifer Price (Wade) and Megan Caver (Austin). Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Maben Community Church in Maben, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery in Maben. She was very loved and will be greatly missed. Memorial donations may be made to the Providence Cemetery Fund, or to God's House of Hope, 800 School Rd., Kilmichael, MS 39747.
