Shelly Ann "Shirley" Moore, 58, of Holly Springs, MS, transitioned on Friday, February 28, 2025. Ms. Shelly Ann Moore "Shirley" was born on December 25, 1966, to Eddie Moore, Jr. and Ida Mae Cole Moore in Benton County, MS. On Friday, February 28, 2025, she transitioned at her residence in Holly Springs, MS. Shelly accepted Christ at an early age at Everett Chapel M.B. Church in Michigan City, MS. She attended Ashland High School. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years. She was a very independent women who had a passion for the word of God and enjoyed listening to music. Shelly leaves to cherish her loving memories: father: Eddie Moore, Jr. of Corinth, MS; three sons: Carlos Moore (Christy) of Ashland, MS and Richmond, KY, Patrick Moore of Ashland, MS, and Morris Moore (Keonna) of Ripley, MS; five brothers: James Hodges (Marilyn) of Ashland, MS, George Hodges (Preta), Darrell Moore both of Memphis, TN, Terry Moore of Ripley, MS, and Michael Hodges of New Albany, MS; four sisters: Martha Hodges of Ripley, MS, Helen Cole of Ashland, MS, Marilyn Moore of Grand Junction, TN, and Dorothy Hodges of Blue Mountain, MS; five grandchildren: Marquisa Alexander of Memphis, TN, Alicia Moore of Holly Springs, MS, Morris Moore, Jr., Kadince Hoyle, and Kearri Moore all of Ripley, MS; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members, and friends. Shelly was preceded in death by her mother: Ida Mae Moore; and daughter: Cassandra Moore. Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., and Services will be at 2:30 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS 38635.
