Stanley Bramlett Obituary

Mr. Stanley Lamar Bramlett, age 89, of West Point, passed away on March 4, 2026, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Mr. Stanley was born on December 21, 1936, in Tupelo, the son of the late Virgil Preston and Mazie Lee Davis Bramlett. Mr. Stanley was a "Stud Welder" at Babcock and Wilcox Corporation in West Point, retiring after 31 years of service. He served our country with the Mississippi Army National Guard. Mr. Stanley loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing and vegetable gardening. He loved Mississippi State University Football. Mr. Stanley was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he could often be counted on to sing and pray. Above all, Mr. Stanley loved his family. He was a loving husband to his first wife, Glenda Joyce Brooks Bramlett and his second wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Miller Bramlett. He loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, and brothers. In addition to his parents and both wives, Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jean Pitts and by four brothers, Preston, Paul, Prentiss, and James Bramlett.

In honoring the wishes of Mr. Stanley, no services are scheduled at this time. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra McLean of Birmingham, AL, Tracie Brand (Roger) of West Point, and Pamela Johnson (Dale) of West Point; four sons, Lonnie Lamar Bramlett of West Point, Dennis Bramlett of Aberdeen, Doyle Brooks, Jr. (Dana) of West Point, and Glenn Brooks (Tina) of Sebastopol. Nine Grandchildren: RaeAnn Beale (Chris) of Odenville, AL, Alicia Pennington (Dallas) of Columbus, Amber Eads (Zack) of Millport, AL, Dale Brand, Jr. (Chloe) of West Point, Steven Brand (Cheyenne) of West Point, Garrett Brooks of Sebastopol, Corey Brooks (Kristen) of Sebastopol, Cody DeNise (Taylor) of West Point, and Jay DeNise of West Point and Twelve Great Grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be His Many Friends at Faith Baptist Church, His Many Friends and Co-Workers at Babcock & Wilcox Corporation, and His Many Friends on Truman Creek Road.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Post Office Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
