Tony Knowles Obituary
Tony Knowles, a man whose kindness and creativity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Memphis, TN, after a valiant battle with a prolonged illness. Born on June 18, 1970, in New Albany, MS, Tony's life was a testament to the love and joy he found in the simplest of things.
Tony's journey through life was shared with his loving and devoted wife, Julia Pannell Knowles. Tony's two daughters, Halie Knowles (John Roach) and Hannah Knowles, who were the apple of their father's eye. Tony's legacy continues through his three cherished grandchildren, Brentlee Freeman, Blake Roach, and Gannon Knowles, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He was the beloved brother to Betty Davidson, Crystal McCaig, and James Michael Knowles. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Bondy and Maggie Morton Knowles, who instilled in him the values of family and hard work that he carried throughout his life.
Tony was an auto mechanic by trade, a profession that suited his natural talent for fixing anything that came his way. His work was not just a job but a passion, and he continued to dedicate himself to it until his health no longer allowed. His colleagues and friends in the industry will remember him for his light-heartedness and his ability to ease the stress of any situation with his easy-going nature.
Above all else, Tony loved his family. He was a constant presence in the lives of his loved ones, always there to offer support, share a laugh, or lend a helping hand. His favorite truck was a project of love, and he enjoyed every moment he had to tinker and improve it. His fur babies, too, were recipients of his boundless affection and care.
Tony's approach to life was simple: he didn't like to take things too seriously. This light-heartedness was a gift to all who knew him, making every encounter with Tony a pleasant and uplifting experience. His kind and creative spirit was evident in everything he did, from the way he solved problems in the garage to the imaginative ways he played with his grandchildren.
