Brittany LaShae Massey

BRITTANY LaSHAE MASSEY, 32, of Webster Springs passed away on January 19, 2025.
Born April 29, 1992 in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Tina (Jenkins) Massey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncles: John Jenkins and James King, and aunts: Carmen Ward and Kimberly Harvey.
Shae was a beacon of joy, her smile could light up the darkest of rooms. She worked as a CNA for Webster Memorial Hospital for 9 years and was loved by all of her patients. She enjoyed spending summers at the lake, on the river, fishing, swimming, and especially boating. Shae liked to take drives in the fall; after the leaves had fallen, she liked to drive through them and watch them blow in the wind. Just like most women, Shae enjoyed retail therapy in shopping. You could often find her thrifting for clothing and house decorations. Above all, she loved her family; she was a wonderful mother to her kids, and was extremely proud of their achievements.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gabriella Faith Tanner, Kyser Ray McCourt, Owen Dewayne Wilson, and Silas Dale Hall; her brothers: Brandon Jenkins and Billy Massey; uncle, James Massey; aunts: Veresa (Charlie) Smith, Diana King, Crystal Massey, and Angela Massey; and step-father, Joey Scott Slater. In addition, she held a special place in her heart for Caysen McCourt, Dawsyn McCourt, Benny Hall, Olivia Jenkins, and Tate McCourt. She is also survived by the fathers of her children: Casey McCourt, Billy "Bub" Wilson, and Jeremy Hall; as well as a host of extended relatives and many, many friends.
Services to celebrate Shae's life will be held 3 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Steve White officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to the service from 1 - 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
