Alex Walker Obituary
Born in Charleston, WV, to parents Cathy (Crouch) Walker and the late David Ray Walker on August 18, 1984, he was raised in South Charleston. He was a 2003 graduate of South Charleston High School and he attended Marshall University.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents William "Ed" and June Crouch, Henry and Maxine Walker, and aunt Susan Prater.
Alex is survived by his loving mother, Cathy (Crouch) Walker; uncles Mark (Lisa) Crouch and Mike Walker; aunts Marsha Gunnoe and Betty Lou Sloane; a multitude of cousins; and caregiver and friend, April Leonard.
Alex enjoyed attending the Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp, which is held annually at Cedar Lakes in Jackson County, WV. He appreciated the independence offered at the camp and treasured the friendship with fellow campers.
Another of Alex's favorite excursions was Dragoncon, an annual multi-media pop culture convention held in Atlanta, GA. This event was special to Alex in that it offered the opportunity to meet many like-minded individuals. One of Alex's favorite activities at Dragoncon was cosplaying as DeadPooh, a mash-up of Winnie-the-Pooh and Deadpool, in the annual parade. Also, during his many years of attending this event, Alex amassed a large collection of autographed photos of himself with celebrities.
Alex's strong determination and shining attitude will be truly missed.

I´m saddened with the passing of Alex. He was my God Son and I will never forget him. For a courageous battle of life with wonderful parents and friends around him. I pray that God will comfort Cathy and family.
