Art Krivsky Obituary

ART KRIVSKY, 84, of Scott Depot, WV, passed away September 1, 2025, at home after experiencing declining health. He was born on December 6, 1940, in Altoona, PA, and he grew up in Wellsboro, PA. He was a graduate of Lehigh University with a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent the majority of his career (33 years) at the Dupont plant in Belle. Following his retirement from Dupont, he worked as an international safety consultant for a subsidiary of Dupont for numerous years. In work, he valued most the relationships he built with people.
Art's faith in Christ was central to his life as he lived out his Christian faith by singing, leading choir, teaching Bible studies, and serving in various lay leadership positions in the church. He was most recently a member of Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene.
Art's greatest joy was his family. He was a godly role model, leaving a legacy of selfless love, commitment, and generosity. His kindness, compassion, and sense of humor will forever be treasured by his family: wife of 62 years, Peg; children Kelly Shenk (Randy), John (Beth), Ryan (Stephanie); seven grandchildren Tyler and Corey Shenk, Andrew, Megan, and Katie Krivsky, J.R. and Kirby Krivsky; five great-grandchildren; sister Fran Homer; close relatives Steve and Barbara King, Sarah, Matt, and Emmalyn Childers. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Winifred Krivsky.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Art's name to Samaritan's Purse.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., at Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Charles V. Williams officiating.

I met Art when I had his son, Ryan, as a student at J.E. Robins. Already knew his wife Peg and her brother Steve. I send my deepest sympathy to you Peg, to your grown children and to your grandchildren during this time. Art was a special man who put his family first and will be missed by many. Godspeed.
