Brian Garnes Obituary

BRIAN KELLY GARNES, 51, of South Charleston, WV, passed away September 14, 2025.
Brian was a sweet, gentle giant of a young man. He was a lover of Legos, video games and movies. He was a believer of Jesus Christ. He was friendly, compassionate and had a pure heart. Brian leaves behind his mother, Wanda Garnes, of South Charleston, WV, Aunt Jackie Rhodes of Hurricane, WV, Uncle Kenny Borsman (Melissa) of Fayetteville, WV and Aunt Theresa Molz (Tom) of Warrington, PA.
A memorial service will be at Genesis, Dunbar Center, Dunbar, WV. 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025.

Yesterday

Brian was a gentle spirit. He was quiet and I recognized his desire to be a part of conversation. He loved people and would listen quietly in the background. He carried a constant concern for his mother. He would always want to make sure we were going to see her or if we had talked with her. He was always grateful for us to pray for him. I never heard him complain. I am thankful he went home to be with his Father in heaven, that he no longer carries the pain in his old body and that he will gain a new heavenly body with no pain and share the new life in heaven and the glorious home that was prepared for him there.
