Carol Buck Obituary

66, passed away July 5, 2023 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born March 7, 1957 to the late Forrest and Amy Thomas. Also preceding her in death are her son, Robert Thomas Adams; brothers, Ron and Ray Thomas.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Terry Buck; sisters-in-law, Sammie Thomas, Connie and David Erwin; brother-in-law, Alan Buck, nieces, nephews and all their children.

She was a loving mother and wife. She loved the church and had so much compassion for children and the needy. Carol was a volunteer manager for Care and Share with 23 years of service, was a Stephens Minister and worked with Shoe Box Christmas and operation Christmas Child, and other community outreaches in so many other ways.

She had a special gift with children that only comes from God. Carol will be remembered by so many that she touched. She loved to travel and her very special places were Alaska, Outer Banks and our beautiful wild and wonderful West Virginia.

She will be missed but there is a hope and blessed assurance for it says in Revelations Chapter 21: 4-5 and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, or crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away, and he that sat upon the throne said, unto me. Write; for these words are true and faithful.

Carol came home for just a short stay, but she will be in her eternal home with the Lord forever, AMEN.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Albans with Rev. Mark Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
