Danny Arthur Obituary
DANNY LEE "BUGGY" ARTHUR 81, of Bancroft, WV passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Hubbard Hospice House West.
Buggy attended Bancroft Mission. He loved to visit and talk to people. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and visiting the beach in the summer. He was employed by Union Carbide-Dow for 21 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Herman Sr. and Bessie Arthur, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Mary Ann Steele Arthur, son Danny L. Arthur Jr., daughter Amy and husband Grant Walker, brother Dorrel "Peachie" Arthur, grandchildren Evan Walker, Kathryn Walker and a host of nieces and nephews.
A tribute to the life of Buggy will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 16, 2025 at Bancroft Mission with Pastor Jimmy Legg and Frank Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Schowen Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association 1601 2nd Ave. Charleston, WV 25387, in his name.
Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, 147 Main Street Poca, WV 25159 is honored to assist the Arthur family.
