Darla Rader Obituary
DARLA DOOLEY RADER, 85, of Summersville died peacefully at home on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, surrounded by family after a recent diagnosis of liver cancer.
Darla was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her grandson Aaron Rader, her parents Hubert and Rhoda Dooley and 8 of her 10 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gerald "Jerry" Rader II, and daughters Diane Rader Frost (Bill) and Renee Rader. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, one sister Ruth Gwinn and one brother David Dooley.
A funeral service to honor Darla's life will be held at Anderson-White Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Summersville on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, with Pastor Phil Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville.
Friends and family may call from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m.

Darla was our neighbor right across the street. Such a lovely lady. When we moved here four years ago she brought us a bird book when she realized we loved to watch the birds ago. So very sorry for your loss. She will be missed greatly in our neighborhood. May God give you comfort today .

For many years Darla and I scheduled flights for Gerald, he would come to Charleston when we were busy and take care of flights for us. Daarla was always so very sweet and accomadating and she made the best cookies for me at Christmas, Prayers of comfort for family and friends-her smile and demeanor will certainly be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing Miss Darla RIP
