Darlene West Obituary


DARLENE WEST, 85 of Hernshaw, WV passed away on September 8, 2025 at Glasgow Hills nursing home of a long illness.
She was retired from CAMC after 25 years of service.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Terri Ferrell (Mike); son, Allen West; grandson whom she raised William West; great granddaugther, Kayla Nauman (Katie); sister Brenda Huff and her beloved pets, also several nieces and nephews.
Special Thanks to her great niece, Natacha Derrix whom was her shadow growing up, and her niece, Missy Ritenour, whom she loved like a daughter.
Thanks to Dreama Blankenship and especially Peggy Morgan for always being there for her.
Darlene was a giving person and loved by all who knew her.
A special and heartfelt thanks to the staff of Glasgow Hills; especially Alissa Hill who showed us compassion and love the night before Mom had passed.
Until we meet again, rest easy Mom.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Per her request her body was donated.

All my life I have known about Darlene. We still talk about the trip to Myrtle Beach. Darlene and Linda cooked great meals every evening for everyone.
