David Hamon Obituary
He was born in South Charleston to the late Ray Corbin and Dorothy Mae (Parsons) Hamon. David is also preceded in death by his brother, John Franklin Hamon.
David was retired from the U.S. Navy as an agricultural engineer. He was also an Eagle Scout and attended Lakeview Methodist Church, St. Albans. David loved camping with his children, grandchildren and nephews.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Anne; children, Jennifer Leigh Hamon (Renata Cummins), Jannah Elaine Powell (Jason), Heather Elisabeth Hamon and Andrew David Hamon; uncle, Avas Hamon. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Logan Powell, Robin Coffey, Zoey Powell, Lily Hernandez, and Rae Iris Cummins and nephews, Brad Davis, Orin Davis and Tyler Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, with Pastor Karry Bart officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
There will be a gathering of friends one hour prior to the service.
