Edith A. Cales

EDITH ANN (EDIE) CALES, 76, of Standard, WV, went home to be with her Lord
on March 26, 2026.
She has longed to join her beloved husband since his passing in 2018.
Edie was born on December 24, 1949, to Howard Lee and Katherine Bowyer.
Family and faith were important to her. She was a member of the Rand First Church of the Nazarene.
She cherished time with her only son who was the joy of her life from the day he was born and absolutely adored her beautiful granddaughter!
Those waiting to receive her in heaven are her devoted husband of 49 years, Floyd Eugene Cales, and her loving parents, Howard and Katherine.
In addition to her son, David Eugene Cales, she is survived by her daughter-in-law Kerri; her precious granddaughter Bella Rane, Taylor, Jacob, and Levi; great grand-children Jonah and Tripp; sister, Matilda Louise Bowyer, of Standard, WV; two brothers, Howard Lee Bowyer Jr. (Judy), of California; Carl (Brenda) Bowyer, of Pratt, WV; special nieces and nephews; and all who call her Nana.
O'Dell Funeral Home will be serving the family. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rand First Church of the Nazarene.
