Garrett Williams Obituary


GARRETT JEROME WILLIAMS aka "J-1" was born August 3, 1967 in Charleston, WV to Marvarlene and Donald Williams Sr. He attended Charleston High School and throughout the years he has worked for C&H Taxi, Subway, Uber and Lyft where he was a dedicated worker and well known around the city.
Garrett was preceded in death by his brothers Donald Williams Jr. (Street), Omar Williams (Kareem) and sister Sonia Williams Michael all of Charleston.
Garrett leaves behind his beloved daughter Jeriesha Williams and son Myron Pratt as well as his best friend/child mother Latoya Pratt. His longtime partner of 16 years Lillie Ware. His mother Marvarlene Williams, father Donald Williams Sr. and his brother Bobby Spencer (Dino). Also his best friend James Burgess and of course many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family members.
He was a loving father, son and friend. Sadly he was taken away from us on August 20, 2025 and as his final wishes was to be cremated without a service.
