What a sweet and kind friend. He was our neighbor for years and we spoke often.
He often talked to my husband about his wife and how much he missed her. They are together now and may they both rest in peace. You will be missed my friend.

My condolence to Jim's family and many friends. For several years he was my neighbor in the small Villa Estates neighborhood where he enjoyed life in his beautiful log home. Jim was a kind, gentle, and pleasant neighbor and we were sorry to see him move back to town to be closed to the friends and activities he loved.

I am heartbroken to learn that "Uncle Jim" has passed away. I am his wife´s niece and have had the pleasure of knowing him for many many years. Always witty, quite brilliant, understated and humble, loving and compassionate, a true animal lover with many dogs and cats over the years, Jim was beloved and respected by me, my brother Bob "Bobby" Cummings and all of our families. I have lived for many years now in Michigan but visited annually and had the benefit of many lively phone discussions and texts with Jim. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. May he rest in peace knowing he truly did make this world a better place and positively impacted so many lives.

Reader taught me video production. It was my 1st stint @ CRA and Diana Sole came to me with the news that the unprecedented had happened: "Reader wants you on the shoot." I knew radio production inside-out but video was new. And there was nobody better to show me (and everybody else) the ropes. Keep your mouth shut unless asked-never make noise when camera´s rolling. Don´t get in the way of anybody, especially tech. Don´t talk to the client unless you´re addressed. Stay out of the Director´s sight line and be last in line at craft service. But Reader didn´t tell me any of that. He demonstrated it all. All I had to do was watch. If you knew him, you know all the stuff about his brains, his skills, his charm and his professionalism. He was the best. And if you´ve ever worked a shoot, you´ll get this because it applies to Reader: "That was great...Let´s do it again."
