Jaqueline Valentine Obituary
JACQUELINE JONES VALENTINE, 77, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. She departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her children.
Born March 14, 1948, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late Willie Frank Jones and Caretha James. Jacqueline was lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Octavie and Johnnie Jones, in Boomer, WV. She graduated from Gauley Bridge High School and went onto earn an associate degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology. Jacqueline retired from Union Carbide and Frontier Communications and had been a dedicated member of Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church since 1995.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Frank Jones and Caretha James, and grandparents, Johnnie and Octavie Jones.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, John Valentine III (Christi), Jillian Valentine, and Justin Valentine, Sr. (Brook), nine grandchildren, as well as a host of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, whose lives she touched deeply.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 31, 2025, Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ferguson Missionary Baptist Church, 124 Marshall Ave., Dunbar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

I worked at Carbide with Jackie for many years. She was a good friend and always smiling. I´m saddened to hear of her sudden death....I always think of her every time I pass thru Boomer....My sincere condolences for her children and other family members...

My heart goes out to the Family of Aunt Jackie. Aunt Jackie was a beautiful woman. She possessed a naturally pretty face. But she was beautiful where it really counts. She taught me many things with her soft easy spoken spirit. She never had a mean thing to say about anybody. If you said anything she would say" Just leave that alone and bless their hearts. I sure will miss her. Rest in peace Aunt Jackie.
