Jeffrey Thompson Obituary


JEFFERY THOMPSON, 71, of Cross Lanes, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born August 20, 1954 in Charleston, the son of Robert and Ruby Bailey Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jim Miller.
Jeffery was a 1972 graduate of Nitro High School. He retired from the WV Lottery Commission after 19 years of service. Jeffery was a longtime member of Living Hope Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend that will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings Robert Samuel Thompson (Margie), of IL, Delores Johnson (Richard), of MS, Jay Thompson, of Cross Lanes, and Tammy Young, of Scott Depot, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of Jeffery's life will be 6 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Living Hope Church, Cross Lanes with Pastor Ryan Fulmer officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until time of service at the church.
