Kara Breuning Obituary

KARA BREUNING, 42, of West Palm Beach, Florida, lost her long-fought battle with addiction on May 5, 2023, Kara was born on September 17, 1980, in Morgantown, WV. Kara attended George Washington High School and West Virginia Institute of Technology. She then moved to Florida, which became her permanent home. Kara will be remembered for her brilliant smile, her wonderful artistic talent, and her great love of animals. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her parents, Eugenia Thoenen of Charleston, WV, and Carsten Philip Breuning (Vinni) of Copenhagen, Denmark. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Grace H. Thoenen, of Charleston, WV. Other survivors include her uncle, David Thoenen, aunt, Maria Ahmadi Thoenen, and cousins Shayni Thoenen and James (Jennifer) and Jordyn Mirgoli, all of Raleigh, NC.
There will be no visitation or funeral. A private family burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.
We hope that anyone wishing to remember Kara will donate in her honor to either a nonprofit organization that is involved in educating and/or treating individuals who are facing their own struggles with addiction or their favorite animal shelter.

This saddens me greatly and I don't even know where to begin on how this upsets me. Kara was a great loving person who had a heart of gold and was always smiling....Her quirkiness always made our time together a lot of fun. My condolences and prayers go out to Kara and all of her family.
Love you Kara!!!
