KEVIN LEE SPRADLING, 64, of Myrtle Beach, SC, departed this life on September 7, 2025. Born in Charleston, WV on May 31, 1961, Kevin faced significant health challenges following an injury in May 2020 that left him paralyzed. He met those challenges with remarkable courage and resilience throughout the years that followed.
Kevin last worked as a service and support technician for SNF Holding Company, where he was known as a skilled troubleshooter. His strong background in math and science made him a valuable problem-solver in his field.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Kevin found peace and joy in nature. He loved casting a line in the river, golfing, hunting, or simply breathing in the fresh mountain air. He was also known for his unique sense of humor and lighthearted sarcasm, which brought laughter and warmth to those around him.
Kevin cherished time spent with friends and family, especially his two grandchildren, Braxton and Mazie Hazzard, who were the light of his life and a source of immense pride and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Lee Spradling and Ann Marie O'Dell Spradling Carrico. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Isner Spradling; daughter, Jessica Hazzard (Chris) of Midlothian, VA; son, Andrew "Drew" Spradling of Tazewell, VA; sisters, Denise Kennedy of Madison, WV and Anita "Lucy" Spradling of Charleston, WV; brother, Anthony "Tony" Carrico of Danville, WV; and his stepmother, Becky Nelson Spradling of Chesapeake, WV.
Cremation was completed by Cremation Services Direct in Myrtle Beach. There will be no formal service at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held in the near future for family and close friends.
