Linda Diane Carpenter

LINDA DIANE CARPENTER, 77 of Sissonville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Linda Diane Meredith, in Kingston, Tennessee, to the late Barbara June Meredith Bell and Charles Lennard Meredith. When she was 4, her family moved to Detroit Michigan where she later met the love of her life and husband of almost 60 years, Vernon "Buddy" Carpenter. Buddy moved his bride back to his hometown of Sissonville in 1967. She will be remembered as a faithful woman of God, a wonderful wife, and dedicated mother to her 4 children. Linda was bold, kind, funny and always willing to share her testimony and love of Jesus. She looked down on no one and carried a burden for those who were lost and struggling in this world. Linda enjoyed attending church, yard sales, family gatherings, and she was an amazing cook. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved son Ronald "Rallow" Carpenter, Sister Patsy Evans, Brother Kenneth Meredith. Linda leaves behind her husband, "Buddy", brother John Meredith, sister Joyce Evans, son Vernon Carpenter (Lisa), son Paul Carpenter (Danielle Davis), daughter Deidre Carpenter, her brother Johnny Meredith, her grandchildren; Justin Carpenter, Triston Carpenter, Talon Carpenter, Jessica Hudson (DJ), Jesse Marie Witt, Camron Carpenter, Jillian McCrary, Jacob Wilkinson (Kassidi), Peyton Dean and 6 great grandchildren. At Linda's request, there will be no services. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and continued prayers.
