She was born on October 17, 1964 to Craig and Wanda Spaniol in South Charleston, West Virginia. Being the first of three children and the first grandchild, everyone was enamored with her.
Mary graduated from Dunbar High Schools in 1982 where she was a member of the band and was a majorette. Mary went on to study nursing at the University of Charleston. After graduating in 1984, she worked at Thomas Memorial Hospital for 34 years in Coronary Care Unit and Perioperative Surgery Center. She married her soulmate, Ronnie Harvey, on April 15, 1985, sharing 40 years of marriage. Together they have three sons and six grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. She loved to spend time at her second home, Oak Island, North Carolina. When she wasn't collecting seashells and making crafts with them, you would find her at the shore under an umbrella with a book. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed special times with her grandchildren, creating priceless memories. Mary was incredibly smart, witty, and fun to be around. Mary was a Christian and loved the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Spaniol; her grandfathers, William Spaniol and Kenneth Stover; along with her grandmothers, Mary Spaniol and Sybil Stover. She is also preceded in death by four unborn grandchildren, whom she now holds and loves in heaven.
