Lessica, Gov and the Graney family.
The Simons family were sad to learn that Pat has departed from this earth, however glad to know that Pat is with his Lord and Savior in Heaven! What a joyous time it is Pat, family and friends in heaven. What a trailblazer in business, or whatever Pat chose to participate. Truly an awesome entrepreneur with the patience, wit, creativity, and courage to succeed. After joining forces in building a nationwide petroleum-logistics business nearly 20 years ago we can honestly say that Pat and I always shared the same goals and objectives never had a disagreement. What a patriot gentle giant of a man. Lessica, and the entire Graney family, Pat loved you and often shared his fun family occasions with me. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you...
Blessings of peace,
Roger

We grew up in a close community. Pat was 5 years younger than me but an intrepid and fearless little kid. My favorite memory is of how he would mount the steps to the diving board, run to the end and execute a pretty good swan dive swimming under water to the shallow end of the pool. By the tome he surfaced there was not a mom at the pool not on her feet. Truly great kid and a fine human being. Rest in peace. Rise (dive) in glory!

Dear Jessica and Family,
Pat was one of those rare souls who left every room brighter, every conversation richer, and every life he touched better for having known him. Charleston has lost an icon, and I have lost a dear friend. My heart is broken today.
From our first casual neighborhood exchanges to the deeper friendship and business partnership that followed, I was drawn to Pat´s rare combination of gifts-traits that so seldom coexist in a single person. He was a man of extraordinary intellect and a gifted businessman, shaped by his education at UVA, but he practiced his craft with unmatched humility and integrity. His success never overshadowed his character; rather, it illuminated it.
Pat had a warmth and charm that felt unmistakably Southern, yet there was always that Irish twinkle in his eye and signature grin - a spark that reflected his humor, zest for life, and deep love for family. That same spark lives on vividly in his sons and grandchildren, each carrying forward the lessons and spirit he so generously gave.
He built people up rather than himself. He gave back quietly, instinctively, and with grace. In Pat, there was a rare alchemy of intellect, humility, compassion, and deep joy for living-a blend that left those of us who knew him feeling richer for the privilege. I can say with absolute sincerity that my life is better because of him, and I know that sentiment echoes throughout this entire community. This is emblematic of a life well-lived.
Pat´s life was a masterclass in integrity, generosity, and love-a legacy that will endure not only through his family but through every heart he touched.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Mark

My heart goes out to all of the Graneys with my sincerest condolences. Pat was such a great guy who will be sorely missed. I am so saddened by this news. I will always cherish the times our families were together as you have always been considered extended family. Many thoughts and prayers for you all with love.
