Paul Crowder Obituary

81, of Campbells Creek passed away September 12, 2022 at home following a short illness.

He was a retired mechanic for the West Virginia Division of Highways and a life-long resident of Campbells Creek.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Hubert and Edith Hicks Crowder; brothers, Richard Crowder of Teays Valley, Teddy Lee Crowder of Campbells Creek and sister, Patsy Wheeler of Campbells Creek.

Surviving are his wife, Kay Higginbotham Crowder; sister, Donna Legg (Robert) of Campbells Creek; sister-in-law, Sharon Crowder of Campbells Creek and sister-in-law, Patricia Payne (Glenn) of Charleston and many nieces and nephews who he loved so much.

Per Paul's wishes a private family graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Glasgow with Pastor Dana Clay officiating.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Susan Cavender and staff and to Hospice and all the caregivers for their kind and compassionate care of Paul during his final weeks. And to Kitty Jo for her love, care and precious time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard West, Charleston, WV 25387.
