Rebecca Nolte Obituary


REBECCA JANE LINGER NOLTE passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on August 20, 2023.
She was a wonderful, kind and joyful person who lived an exciting and adventurous Life. She loved animals, skiing end competitive ice skating.
She was a graduate of Charleston High School where she was a majorette. She attended Mary Baldwin College and the University of Hawaii, where she enjoyed modeling.
She lived in Malibu, California and was married to Nick Nolte with whom she enjoyed a lasting friendship.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. R. Thomas Linger, Sr.
She is Survived by her mother, Betty Gates Linger, who is 99 years young, brothers, Dr. R. Thomas Linger, Jr. (Ellen) and Dr. William Gates Linger, sisters: Susan Cook (Jeff) and Terri Byer (Matt). Her greatest loves were her son, Browley King Nolte, grand daughter, Grayson Nolte. She also had several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Lou Gehrig ALS Society.

We can attest Rebecca was an exceptionally sweet person. We knew her through my sister Karen, who was a long time friend of hers. Sadly, my sister also passed away one month before Rebecca. Both will be sorely missed.
