Robert Hickman Obituary


ROBERT C. "BOB" HICKMAN 70 of Poca, WV passed away Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice House Charleston, WV.
Robert was a retired Utility Inspector for the State of West Virginia with 36 years of Service. And a US Marine Corp. Veteran with 4- years of service and was also in the Army Reserve with 14 years of service.
He was born in Charleston, WV on November 16, 1954, to the late Clair and Beulah Skeens Hickman. He was a Nitro High School graduate class of 1973.
He was preceded in death by brother, Bill Hickman sister, Connie Hickman Odell; nephews, Eddie Hickman and David Bobbit.
Surviving, sister, Charlotte King and family; devoted sister-in-law Ramona Hickman and family; and sister, Dorothy Bobbit and family; and lifelong friend, Tom Jones.
The family would like to thank the great staff at Hospice House for the excellent care that Robert received.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Given Cemetery, Given, WV with Pastor Chad Lovejoy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kanawha Hospice Care 1606 Kanawha Blvd. West Charleston, WV. 25387 Condolences may be sent to the family via www.cookefuneralhome.com
