Robert Pennington Obituary
MR. ROBERT DEAN PENNINGTON, 67 of Hometown passed away September 19, 2024, at home. Rob is retired from Galeana Chrysler Jeep in South Carolina and a 1976 graduate of Winfield High School. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, spending time at the beach, and talking to his family and friends. He was born June 28, 1957, to the late Emmett Grady and Dinora Virginia Cash Pennington. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Lovejoy Pennington; children Robert Pennington of Winnsboro, SC, Nick Pennington of SC, Boyd Shamblin of SC, Dreama Dawson of Tornado, and Pauline Cantley of Hometown; brothers Bruce Pennington of St. Albans and Roger Pennington of St. Albans; sisters Opal Johnson of St. Albans and Sharon Roberts of IN; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A tribute to the life of Mr. Robert Pennington will be 11 a.m. Friday September 27, 2024, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor George Webb officiating. A burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday September 26, 2024, at the funeral home. I worked with Rob for several years at Galeana Chrysler Jeep Kia prior to his retirement. He was always a quiet, talented and reliable employee that was a pleasure to be around. He was missed following his retirement, and missed even more now that he has passed. Condolences from my wife and I and many prayers of comfort and peace on behalf of the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Rob for many years at Galeana. I'm truly blessed to have known him, he cared deeply for others and would always go out of his way to help someone. My prayers and condolences go out to all of his family and his many friends. Brother Rob will be missed.
