Bobby was a sweetheart, I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face, or down right laughing!
I remember when I first found out I was pregnant with Eli, Matt n I went to Bobby's. Everyone said, Bobby can tell ya what you're having. Sure enough, the ole pencil dangling in your palm...sure did work!
Bobby said, it was gonna be a boy.
So what happened 9 months later?
Found out I was pregnant again, went straight to Bobby's, I can remember him saying," see you don't need to go have an Ultra Sound"
He was right again, that girl became Hannah Beth.
I wonder if Bobby will be doing Ultra Sounds in Heaven ?...lol
I'll miss you Bobby and that great big amazing smile of yours.
Heaven must have needed ya.

I met Bob in 1980 when I joined the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department and found him to be friendly and helpful. I also worked with his two boys, Tommy and Mark, in law enforcement and found them to be the same. Sometimes I would stop by Bob's house while on patrol. I had never met a more welcoming family than his. I also enjoyed speaking with him when I visited my wife at her office in the Federal Building. He was one of her favorites among the Court Security Officers. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Shannon and to the family. He will be very much missed.
