Stephen Smith Obituary
STEPHEN ALEXANDER SMITH, 58 of Charleston passed away Wednesday February 28, 2024 at CAMC General Hospital.
Stephen was born in Charleston on March 4, 1965 to the late David & Mildred Daniels Smith. He was a 1983 Graduate of DuPont High School where is played football and ran track. He was an avid WVU fan; an avid golfer and previously worked at Big Ben Golf Course and enjoyed listening to all kinds of different music.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Shellie Lasure Smith; sons, Dominic (Christy) Lasure and Stephen Alexander Smith II all of Charleston, Zachary (Kaitlyn) Smith of St. Albans; grandchildren, Gabriella Stalnaker, Willow Lasure, Gianna and Beauden Smith; siblings, David (Patty) Smith of Milton, Deanna (Jeff) Tucker of Shrewsbury, Anna (Sean Andrews) Brown of Parkersburg and Michael Smith of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.
At Stephen's request cremation has been honored and A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday March 2, 2024 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Paul Leftwich officiating. The family request that everyone dress casual and wear your WVU apparel.
A visitation with family and friends will be held from 1 p.m., until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Mator's Kids Foundation P.O. Box 866 Belle, WV 25015.
