Terry Thompson Obituary


TERRY LEE THOMPSON, 71, of Powellton, West Virginia, passed away on August 24, 2025.
He was born on June 9, 1954, in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late Donald and Jeanette Thompson. Terry spent his life rooted in the Kanawha Valley. He worked for Narco Inc in Cannelton, WV and proudly retired after many years of dedicated service.
Terry was known for his love of football and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. In his younger years, he found joy and pride in being active in his children's sports activities, supporting them wholeheartedly on and off the field.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Donald and Jeanette Thompson and his sister Donna Graham. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Debbie Thompson of Powellton, WV. Son, Steven Thompson of Gauley Bridge, WV. Daughter, Kelly Jeffery and grandchildren Peyton and Vayda Jeffery of Mount Carbon, WV.
Terry will be remembered for his devotion to family, his easygoing spirit, and his unwavering support for those he loved.
A visitation will be held 1 p.m., Friday, August 29, at O'Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery, West Virginia.
Services will begin at 2 p.m., with Reverand Greg Toney officiating. Entombment will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, WV. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Terry's life.
