Thomas Gerald Harper

THOMAS GERALD HARPER, 67, of Elkview went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 14, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Harper and nephews, Matt Campbell and Ricky Gardner.
Tom was a loving son, husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and attended church at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church when he was able. He was a 1977 graduate of Herbert Hoover High School and a member of the Charleston Moose Lodge 1444. Tom enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, and was an avid WVU fan, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, whom was his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice Harper; daughter, Stacy (Jaron) Sampson; father, Wilbert Harper; nieces, Allison Gardner of Germany, Kelsey Gardner of Fl.; nephew, Justin Campbell of Sissonville; brother-in-law, David Campbell of Sissonville; sister, Geraldine Gardner; grandchildren, Mason, Kyson, and Harper Sampson.
Tom also leaves behind a few cousins and close personal friends.
A service will begin 2 p.m, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Run Cemetery, Youngsbottom, WV.
Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Military rites will be honored by the Army Honor Guard.
