Tommy Comuzie Obituary

76, of Shallotte, NC, passed away on October 7, 2025, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital, SC. He was born in Cabin Creek, WV on April 2, 1949, Tommy was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Navy.

Tommy is survived by a loving family, including his daughter, Shannon Koenig (Karl), and son, Brad Comuzie, Stepdaughter Lisa Henderson (Faye's daughter). He considered Faye's family his too. He also leaves behind his siblings: Donald Comuzie (Beth), Toni Burdette (Steve), and James Comuzie (Vanesse). His life was enriched by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and a wide circle of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Maxwell Comuzie, mother, Ella Doris Bradford Comuzie, his partner of 27 years, Faye Faircloth, and siblings Joseph Robert Comuzie, Ruth Sharon Carte, and Margaret Ann Lovejoy.

Tommy was retired from The United Mine Workers, he also worked many years for the local cable company.

He was an avid fisherman, often seen casting lines in the quiet early hours, and a regular on the golf course, enjoying the game and light-hearted competitions with his buddies and he was a WVU fan.

In accordance with his wishes, Tommy was cremated. His memory will continue to be honored by all who knew him.
