YONG "SUNSHINE" SUK YOUNG, 72, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on March 27, 2023.
"Sunshine," as she was affectionately known, was born in Busan, South Korea on September 26, 1950. Sunshine immigrated to the United States with her husband of 46 years, Harvey Young. She lived life through simple pleasures; going to bingo with friends, gardening, and hand making gifts for the ones she loved. Sunshine had an uncanny ability to make strangers feel like they were at home.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey; her daughter, Sonya; and her granddaughter, Jadeyn.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held at Cooke Funeral Home in Nitro, West Virginia on Saturday April 1, 2023, at 2 p.m.
