Aleta Green Obituary

BRISTOL, TN Aleta Dale Green, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, VA. Aleta was born on November 18, 1947, in Maine to the late Bertram and Arlene Lily Wiles. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Melody Patterson, and a brother Bertram Wiles, Jr. Aleta was a devoted and hardworking woman whose family was always at the heart of everything she did. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always putting her loved ones first and doing whatever she could to care for them. Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Aleta had an adventurous spirit and a true love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or riding four-wheelers, she found joy and peace in being surrounded by nature. She also loved to travel and split her time between her homes in Warren, ME, and Bristol, TN, each place filled with memories of the people and moments she treasured most. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Johnston; son Daryl Green; brother David Wiles; grandchildren Tyler Green, Anthony Johnston, Cameron Green, Daryl Green, Jr., Cheyenne Green, and Alex Green; special friends Jen Carter and Ann Wolfe; along with several great grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
