Carl White Obituary
Carl E. White, age 86, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
Carl was born in Swords Creek, Virginia and was the son of the late Clarence White and Irene Elkins White.
Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a graduate of Honaker High School class of 1958 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and loved going to church. Carl worked at People's Life Insurance for 13 years and at Island Creek VP#8. He was a member of UMWA Local #2421.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Lawson, Ruth Smith, and Linda Plaster; and brothers, Larry, David, Darrell, and Harry White.

Great Grandchildren: McKenzie Green, Sheyanne Hicks, Maddox Huff, Mason Huff, Rhett Collins, River James Collins, Maeve White, Elliana Collins, and Everett Collins.

Funeral services for Carl E. White will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Jim Richardson and Rev. Mickey Hale officiating. Entombment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Dr. Sid Collins, Brandon White, Josh Hylton, Gregory White, Clark Dye, Casey Dye, Maddox Huff, Mason Huff, Jeremy Huff, and James Flick. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kevin Dye, Houston Vandyke, Perry White, Bobby Gene White, John Reedy, Delmar Bowman, Danny Horton, Clyde Roberts, and James Davis. Friends may visit with the family from 6 pm until 9 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Members of the Casey-Short VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites. Members of the UMWA Chaplin corps will conduct honors prior to the funeral service.
