III Red Robert Baalis Cowan

Robert Baalis Cowan, III (Red), aged 82, of Goliad, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, in Goliad. He was born on February 14, 1943, in Floresville, Texas, to the late Claude Cowan and Madelyn Prothro Cowan.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Grace Funeral Home in Goliad. A second visitation will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, also at Grace Funeral Home in Goliad. A graveside service will occur on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Glendale Cemetery.

Honoring Robert as pallbearers will be, Robert Cowan, John Cowan, Ty Trevino, Michael Willow, Howard Hill and Joe Dee Johnson.

Robert married Gladys on April 20, 1963, in Victoria. Robert worked as an oilfield driller for Buzzini Drilling Co. for 40 years. His life centered on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Cowan and Peggy Dorine Trevino; his son, Robert B. (Buddy) Cowan, IV (Karen); his siblings, Carolyn Stull and Claudine Slankard; his grandchildren, Laryn (Michael) Willow, Tanner Robert (Alicia) Trevino, Ty Trevino, Robert B. Cowan, V, John (Kaylee) Cowan, and Helen Cowan; as well as his great-grandchildren, Gunner Robert Willow, Gemma Capri Willow, Tanner Robert Trevino, Jr., and Paisleigh Savannah Cowan.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Gladys Cowan; his granddaughter, Frankie Jo Cowan; his great grandson, Joe Juvencio Trevino; and his sisters, Mary Nell Cowan and Betty Jo Sloan.
