Edith Toothman Obituary

Edith "Maxine" Toothman 87 of Ronceverte passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Peyton Hospice House. Maxine was born June 2, 1938 at Ronceverte and was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Nettie Morgan Weikle, Sr. Maxine was a homemaker. She was lovingly known as Maw Maw Sprite by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman Gordon Toothman; siblings, Roberta Weikle, Glenda Ferguson, Roy Lee Weikle, Jr. and Robert G. Weikle. Survivors include her children, Rickey Toothman (Judy), Diane Boggs (Ricky) and Doug Toothman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin Boggs (Renee), Keith Boggs (Amanda), Brian Toothman (Jessica), Chad Boggs (Ashley), Brandon Boggs, Mark Toothman (Carleigh); great grandchildren, Emma, Dylan, Matthew, Ethan, Kaylee, Carly, Caitlynn, Mikayla, Chance, Caden and Walker; sisters, Carolyn Dunbar and Twila Weikle. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastor Joey Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at the Morgan Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
