Edna Mae Vandyke

Edna Mae Vandyke, age 65, of the Sinking Waters section of Bandy, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at her home. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Arvis Bandy and Pauline Hankins Bandy. She had made her home in the Bandy area all of her life and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gary "Fuzz" Vandyke; one sister, Shelia Kay Combs; and one niece, Diana Combs Addison. Survivors are: Daughter: Mistie Dawn Reynolds and husband, Donald Dwayne of Bandy, Virginia Brothers: Rick Bandy and wife, Pamela of Bandy, Virginia Mark McNeely and wife, Christina of San Antonio, TX Grandchildren: Amber Logan; Emily Isner and husband, Derek; and Eli Hagerman Four Great-Grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Edna Mae Vandyke will be conducted Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Ronnie Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Bandy Family Cemetery in Sinking Waters near Bandy, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from 12pm until 1pm on Saturday prior to the funeral.
