Jeffrey Alan "Hawkeye" Williams

Jeffrey "Hawkeye" Alan Williams, 63, of Welch, WV, passed away at home on Thursday, April 10, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1962, in Welch, WV, a proud son of the late William "Bud" Larry Williams and Willetta "Chubby" Gore Christian. Jeff was a man of many talents and simple joys. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars, tinkering on things, woodworking, and ATVs. But above all else, nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandbabies. His heart belonged to them, and every moment he spent with them was cherished deeply. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend - the kind of man who was always there when you needed him, quick with a joke or a helping hand. His strength, loyalty, and unique sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Freddy Williams; his sister, Elizabeth "Sissy" Burgess; and his stepfather, Robert "Spike" Christian. Jeff leaves behind his sons, Kory Williams and Jeffrey Williams Jr. and wife Beth; his beloved grandsons, James "Bean" and Nicholas Williams; and the mother of his children, Denise England. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Jackson and husband Quintin, Christy and Misty Christian, and Georgia Roberts and husband Eddie; his brothers, Robert Christian, Christopher John Christian and wife Kristy, AJ Christian, and Robert "Smokey" Christian; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends. As his sons, we want to say, "I know you was always proud of me and my brother. We are also proud to have had you as our father. Rest easy now. We love you, Dad." Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11 o'clock with Angie Gillespie officiating at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield, WV.
